MANU SANTANA

After a few years doing diverse jobs as an illustrator, 3D modeller and university teacher, he decided to give a spin to his artistic career and landed an apprenticeship opportunity at the world renowned Circus Tattoo in Madrid, where getting to see some of the best international tattoo artists work in person gave shape to his own view and changed his trajectory forever.

The endless journey towards understanding and improvement of the traditional American and Japanese tattooing subjects continues almost 15 years after it started, and after having taken him across multiple countries and countless conventions and guest spots in some of the best shops of the world, it found it latest stop in London, at the legendary Seven Doors Tattoo.

During the eight years Manu has worked in the British capital, he’s developed a personal style heavily influenced by the San Francisco school of Ed Hardy, where modern and traditional meet with a fierce dynamism that reflects his taste for Heavy Metal music, skateboarding culture and fantasy/sci-fi aesthetics. His artistic training allows him to do every style that comes through the door, from fine line to black and grey realism, and he’s always up for a challenge when it comes to bringing his clients' ideas to fruition.
